The most abundant (and popular) of the grilling or frying steaks . Best thick and juicey , with the point piece by tradition being the most succulent , the rump makes a great fry-up with onions and tomatoes , or with a salad .

Some committed pasty makers will only use rump pieces with their swede and potato .

The whole rump , cooked as a roasting joint makes for a most impressive and delicious dinner . It can be sliced thin or carved in thick pieces - rather like drinking champagne from a thin stem or aplastic cup - it does make a difference .

Normally individual steaks are cut about 1.5 cm thick but if you like them really thick , about 2 cms or more please order them . we cut on Tuesdays so before then .
